Infrastructure:
The Hostel is located at a few metres opposite to the college campus
Has state
of art and infrastructure. It has well furnished rooms mordernised messes, excellent library and vast space for sports and recreation.To add to its glory it
has recently got ISO9001 certification.
Blocks:
Men's Hostel:
The men's hostel consist of five blocks namely A,B,C,DandG blocks.A,B,C,D
Blocks consists of five floors which consists of four-in-one and two-in-one rooms. The G block is a traditional block which houses only first years. There is yet another block coming up due to the increased strength of the hostel. The common bathrooms and toilets and the corridors are cleaned daily and maintained well. The top two floors contains special two in one rooms which has marble flooring . Each block is provided with a water cooler located at convenient places.
Ladies Hostel:
The ladies hostel consists of three blocks - E, L and LH.
Mess:
There are three messes in the men's hostel - two for seniors (AB & CD)and one for first years (G). There is also a mess in the ladies hostel. These messes have excellent seating arrangement and ventilation. Recently the AB mess has been modernised to have the look of a modern day restaurant & advancement in cooking ways too with steam cooking and also have the facility of dish washers. Similar advancements has also been taking place in the ladies hostel. The rest of the messes are to undergo the same with in a short period.
The menu is decided by the Hostel Council which comprises of students.
The mess bill is of the dividing system which accounts upto
Rs.1000 per month for an individual.
Library:
There are three libraries : two in men's hostel and one in the ladies hostel. One section of the library houses a lot of text books and reference books for the convenience of the students. Each student is eligible to take one book from the library for a period of 15 days.
Another section consists newspapers and journals which are not to be lended.
Other Facilities:
There is a snack bar located in the hostel campus which is opened till late night during
semester exams. There is a STD/ISD/Local phone booth located inside the campus. There are telephones in the hostel office to receive the phone calls and there are phone boys to inform the students of their calls. The state and central banks are located next to the hostel campus. There
are general merchant shops,stationary shops,medical shops,restaurants and fruit shops located closely to the hostel. The Busstop is located just outside the hostel campus. There are also hospitals located very closely to the hostel.There is a large salt water plant to convert the hardwater to softwater which provides pure water for bathing in addition to the water available for 24hrs. There is a guesthouse annexe next to the hostel for the accomodation of
parents meeting their wards.
Sports
The hostel has a vast area for sports and recreations. The blocks are so constructed to have a hockey and football ground at its centre. The physical education department is situated next to the hostel.There are separated grounds for all the sports and games situated at the vicinity of the hostel.There is also an excellent gym near the PT dept and a seperate gym inside the ladies hostel. There are TV halls in each blocks for the benefit of the students.
